I love that RIT has a post office on campus. I feel like I’m over there all the time. I sent a couple packages out with little treats for my two favorite ladies. Grace helped me decorate
Since I’m running low on days of the months to finish my 35 acts of random kindness, I decided to go ahead with a suggestion from one of my readers. This is the link he sent:
60 foot Duck sails through London

The duck floated through the city of London for the sole purpose of making people laugh. “No one could suppress a smile”, the article reported. “We want to make sure we get the laughter quota back where it belongs. Psychologists recommend we should laugh 15 times a day to stay happy and healthy.”
My version is on a smaller scale. Much, MUCH smaller. I hope that it caught some people by surprise and made them smile. Even better, I hope it gives the grounds keeper guys a a grin. It’s gotta be funnier than the normal stuff they find in the water fountains!
Last year on my birthday, I intentionally did 34 “pay it forward”, “make someone smile”, “random acts of kindness” throughout the day. It was awesome, but this year, I want to put a little more time and effort by using the whole month of September. I think that will give me enough time to squeeze 35 actions, representing my 35 years of life. I have a list of ideas, some are easy, some are hard, some cost money and some require time. A few things I’ve been meaning to do forever and just need a little deadline like this to make happen. I hope you’ll cheer me on as I do some things a little out of the ordinary; and if you are inspired to do a random act of kindness in my honor, I’d love to hear about it. I’d consider it a little birthday present!
Apparently the duck is making his way around the world:
