Craft Bits and Pieces: A Unique Shopping Experience
This is one of my favorite places to browse! Everything in the store has been donated from people cleaning out their craft room, or Grandma’s attic. It is a completely volunteer operation where people sort, repackage and price the items at garage sale prices. All the proceeds go to the local Senior Living Council, which is awesome.
I always look for fabric, lace and buttons but never know exactly what I’ll find. This visit, I found a couple wooden frames that my girls can paint, some key chain thingys and fun fabric for about $8 total.
The donation center for this store is a few doors down, and it’s chock full of bins of “who knows what” that needs to be sorted. Basically, it would be my dream come true to poke around in there. I’m considering volunteering once a month with a friend so I can learn more about this cool non-profit and dig for treasures. If it was closer to my home it would be a no-brainer and I’d be over there scoping out the new stuff every day.
