Finishing up my birthday month of doing fun/ thoughtful things, I sent care packages to my mom, brother and sister who live out of town. I bought candy and the girls helped me make little cards to fill the envelopes. I suspect they only helped because I promised a little candy as a treat for helping. Sometimes we all need a little motivation to do kind and thoughtful things.
The lady at the post office had a hard time finding a spot to put the mailing label on my decorated packages!
The snickers candy bar note said, “You make me snicker”.
The Reece’s Pieces candy note said “I love you to pieces!”
The Now and Later candy note said “I miss you now and later.”
September is my birthday month and I am challenging myself to be intentionally generous, thoughtful, giving towards strangers, people I love and myself throughout the month. My challenge is to find 38 ways to celebrate my 38 years on earth. Some of them might take some planning, some time, some money and others might be things I need to get off my to do list or my “want to do list”. I hope some of them will be spontaneous, mindful moments.
Do you want to see what else I did to celebrate my birthday this year?
