“I have the sacred power of whistling. Do you have it too, mom?” Kaylee asked me. Guess what? Turns out that I have that sacred power too!
“Grace! Let’s ride our imaginary horses over to the playground!” Kaylee said with excitement. Then she turned to me and explained, “I can go faster on an imaginary horse than just running. Even though it might be the same speed, my stamina doesn’t drain as fast.” I inquired about the horses names, and apparently they each have two: Kaylee’s are Alpha and Coconut. Grace’s are named Vanilla and Chocolate Chip.
Grace taught herself how to braid, and it’s almost painful for me to let her walk around with a head full of little braids.
She is so proud of her skill and thinks it looks awesome, so there is really nothing to do but say, “Wow honey! Look at what you did!”
The kids had a flu shot recently, and all shots are a huge deal. HUGE. An hour later, I found the girls walking around the house in home made “slings” to support their sore arms. Hilarious, right?
“This place is more magical to me than Disney’s Magic Kingdom” I sent this picture and message to my mom who feels the same way. Being around crowds and noise drains my energy to live, while being outside on a gorgeous day sooths my soul. (Green Lakes State Park, NY)
